"Far Side Sensing™" New “Far Side Sensing™” Now Available From Banner-Day & ERB Ensign “Far Side Sensing™” provides flame detection on ribbon burners at the end of the burner opposite the ignition source. As the next generation in sensing, “Far Side Sensing™” complies with current regulations in locations that require this type of flame sensing, such as Canada, Europe and other markets. The value of this development is that bakers can now more efficiently manage the temperature and lateral heat conditions in the oven, while providing increased safety. This is an important advancement as it now enables bakeries in these locations to upgrade their old ovens because they have the ability to meet the regulations for CSA Code B149.3-00 Section A.4.6.12 (a). Current Canadian/European regulations are harbingers of what may eventually be required of the U.S. Bakery Industry. Banner-Day and Ensign’s development provides an advance solution for a potential impending U.S. regulation. “Far Side Sensing™” is versatile and can be incorporated into both OEM designs and retrofit installations.
